According to ancient Hebrew legend, she inserts the souls into the unborn. I created her as an instrument of peace. On one side of her neck, you see the Hebrew words for "life," and on the other side, you see in Arabic the words "you are my life."

She is a legendary female figure in the One Thousand and One Nights. She captivates readers with her intelligence and cunning. She becomes the Shah's obsession. I tried to capture her vulnerability in the face of a daunting situation that at any point could have cost her life.

Mary Magdalene, or Mary of Magdala, was a follower of Yeshua. According to recent scholarship, she had a significant role in Christianity that is only now being fully appreciated. I tried to imagine her in her youth, her adulthood, and finally in her communion with her beloved teacher.

This is a memento of a woman's first sexual experience. A tribute to love. It is an abstraction. The brushstrokes are delicate and reminiscent of that first experience.

Recognized by each of the Abrahamic religions, the Archangel Michael stands as the warrior angel prepared to defend every soul from harm. Cultures are fascinated by his warrior spirit, but I see an angel filled with compassion.

Mermaids and sirens fill the pages of mythology for both their seductive and destructive natures. In this painting, based on contemporary and ancient legend, we see a young woman who is formidable.
